(“Treating Co-Morbid Obesity and Major Depressive Disorder”, NIMH, 1R01MH078012) assessed the efficacy of brief behavioral therapy for depression followed by a lifestyle intervention (“Be Active,” BA) on weight and depression symptoms compared to a lifestyle intervention only among women with obesity and major depressive disorder. Women comprise 100% of the sample; the average age is about 46y. About 91.9% of patients have more than a high school education. Three 24-h dietary recalls were collected at baseline, 6- and 12-months after randomization (9 recalls total).
